The Nature of SPC Wall Panels
SPC stands for Stone Plastic Composite; the core materials consist of natural limestone powder and polymer resin. Manufactured via a hot-pressing process, the resulting panels combine the hardness of stone with the toughness of plastic. Their cross-section typically features a multi-layer structure-comprising a wear layer, decorative layer, SPC core layer, and balancing layer-with a thickness generally ranging from 4 to 8 mm. They can be installed directly onto unfinished walls or used for wall renovations.
Three Key Characteristics
Physical Stability: The coefficient of thermal expansion and contraction is only one-third that of solid wood, ensuring no deformation in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 60°C.
Water and Moisture Resistance: With a water absorption rate of less than 0.03%, the panels do not develop mold, making them suitable for humid regions or bathrooms.
Ease of Installation: Featuring a click-lock installation system, a standard installer can cover over 50 square meters per day.
